What People's Say About Place

The country fried steak was delicious and huge. The chicken and waffles were tasty. The waiter we had was super friendly and funny. Over all it was a good place to have lunch, without being out in the casino.

I'm a little surprised to see the overall rating average under a 4 at Red River, especially compared to a lot of the much less desirable restaurants in the area with higher ratings that are just terrible. I don't gamble but I do come here probably about once a month just to eat. The prime rib is delicious! It's not the most aged cut that you might get from a really fancy steakhouse, but trust me, it is still darn good, and definitely enough to keep me coming back on repeat (and I am admittedly a bit snobby about my steaks). Portions are excellent here. The burgers and breakfasty items are also really good, they just need to swap out whipped margarine to whipped butter, because margarine is gross. They do have little butter packets though, so be sure to ask if you hate margarine as much as I do. I also got a cold baked potato once so I now just get the mashed potatoes, which btw are excellent and always hot. The side veggies are delicious and well seasoned. Got a cheesecake to-go once from the Barista there too, surprisingly good, not too sweet and very creamy. Overall the food is definitely worth coming back for, good quality, large portions, and very fair prices. Honestly my only real gripe about the place is that customer service is sort of hit or miss, sometimes service is great but other times the staff looks either miserable or they're just completely aloof, (not rude or anything, but it can be a bit of a downer). I'll still be back for sure though!

One hour wait on Saturday night, so put your name on the list early. We got a buzzer, which didn’t buzz, but they announced when the table was ready so we didn’t miss it. Very friendly service. Classic American restaurant. Lots of classic options like burgers, sandwiches and mac and cheese. I don’t eat meat or deep fried food and I was very excited to see grilled shrimp skewers with veggies and potato on the menu. It hit the spot! Perfectly grilled shrimp and a good side of different veggies. Option of baked or mashed potato. Hubby loved their clam chowder and the Panasian Honey Walnut Shrimps. I hope they add more healthier options to their menu in the near future.

They have the best bacon cheese burger I've had in 30 years! A meaty, charred burger with extra crispy bacon on a toasted bun with fresh veggies and a unique burger sauce. Old school perfection!

This was my first time eating here in over 10 years, and I am asking myself why I do not eat here more often. They have a great breakfast lunch and dinner selection and the prices are amazingly reasonable. It’s almost like they are prices from five years ago. We went for lunch during the week and there was no weight, and the food came out promptly. The drinks are also good and reasonably priced. The service is acceptable, but nothing spectacular. I ordered the 10 ounce ribeye with vegetables and garlic, mashed potatoes and it was fantastic. My friend ordered the 10 ounce steak sandwich and vegetables and it looked great as well. My other friend ordered the grilled cheese and it looked delicious. I would highly recommend stopping by here at the silver reef Casino to try the red River Café. You will not be disappointed.

Simple, smaller menu means Ingredients tend to be fresher. Chefs can be more focused and thorough with your food. Veggies aren't swimming in grease but lightly oiled and cooked perfectly. The Au jus isn't some Arby's salty bullion. Sauces taste like theyre made in house. Meat is 100% always made to order. Ive eaten here 7+ times and counting (I stay here for work) will update when more of the menu is eaten. Staff are always on point too, haven't had a bad meal yet.

I had dinner, the prime rib was great. Rhonda was my server. I give her 5 too. Service was impeccable.

Food is excellent. Highly recommend for anytime of the day. Portions are very large. The brisket burger is absolutely one of the best burgers I've ever had. The brisket was nice and tender with excellent flavor.
